Your 5-Day Adventure Itinerary

Experience a carefully planned journey from Halifax to Sable Island and back

Monday - Departure

  • 8:00 AM Arrive at the boat on the Halifax Waterfront
  • Safety orientation and embark to the island
  • 24 hours at sea - enjoy ocean sailing

Tuesday - Arrive at Sable Island

  • 9:00 AM landfall and island arrival
  • Tour Main Station area and meet Parks Canada staff
  • Lunch in Visitors' Quarters or in the dunes
  • Sail to Bald Dune and anchor for the night (weather permitting)

Wednesday - Explore Eastern End

  • Discover historic shipwrecks along the shore
  • Explore the eastern end of the island
  • Observe wild horses and grey seals
  • Anchor overnight (weather permitting)

Thursday - Final Exploration & Departure

  • Morning exploration of Eastern Spit
  • Final wildlife observations and photography
  • Depart for Halifax approximately 12:00 PM

Friday - Return to Halifax

  • 24 hours at sea returning to Halifax
  • Evening arrival in Halifax Harbour
  • Disembark with memories of a lifetime
